how fit are you? (nklr)

Post by Larry » Mon Jul 30, 2001 9:57 pm

awrlrighty, all you lard asses belly up to the below link and plug in your real numbers and lets jest see how fit you are. http://www.efit.com/calculators/ Yup thats what I thought, while tryin to push/bump start a KLR while running up hill is strenuous, unless you do it for an hour or so, it is of little cardiac benefit. You gotta get that pumper pumpin and the bellows blowin for a sustained period of time an more than jest Saturdays...to keep the cardiologist away. As for the sore muscles, that is caused by lactic acid build up, as you continue to exersize and S t r e t c h before and after your muscles will soon be able to dump that nasty stuff more efficiently and they wont scream at you to stop. AS for numb penile problem road bikers experience, I can honestly say that after riding in more than a few long distance tours (100 miles) and cross country trips (multiday), I have never been struck by that malady. But if'n I was, you can bet your sweet bippy that I would take up jogging or swimming, cuz there's jest some thangs that aint worth risking. AS for bike handeling, there is probably nothing that has helped me more on motorcycles than riding bicycles, the balance, awareness of cagers, picking lines, just the general feel of the machine and what it is doing in relation to the terrain. I dont know how to describe it, but it has helped. jest ma thots :o) LK Specialized-EPIC (road bike) Specialized-Stump Jumper (mntn bike) Giant-Hybrid (round town bike)

Maybe we need to post some pictures of the group? Please refer to the archives, specifically to the "We are old Fat Guys" threads. Thought we should lighten things up...All this talk of exercising is quite tiring!! :o)
