Thanks for the replies guys!! i put the front tire on my metzler tire
balancing stand and it did appear to be out a bit. took it back to
dealer and they spun it as is. The read out said five (five what??
oz's grams??) Dude said that was pretty close and shouldn't really
affect things. He then took off all the wieghts and redid the wheel
and got it to zero. The rim also seems to have a little flat spot on
it. Can't think of anything i have hit that would cause that,
although it may be enough to create a vibration. I'm gonna have one
of thier guys whose good at trueing wheels look at it. took the bike
for a mostly road ride and it was much better. Still vibrates tho. My
bro has klr with metz enduro 3 or 4's, I'm going to ride his and see
if it vibrates as much. I had alot of buzziness in the bars, i know
thats normal to a degree. I'm gonna yank the rear and check the
balance on it too. the bike still wanders around too much at 65plus
to make highway travel realistic. some of that is the usually klr
buffeting type stuff i'm sure. Maybe it's time for some fork and
shock work. The conti's really rock in the dirt!! I did a little
powerline riding and went through a small 8' across dried up mud
puddle. If i was on the old tires it would have sunk to the bottom. i
just got on the gas and dug a trench to the other side!! they are
ideal on dirt roads too!! At this point i think i'll screw with the
bike a bit more before i ditch the tires. If i can get it to run a
bit smoother (sp) they would be ideal.

Congratulations to the new GS owners. I have ridden one (as well as
several of the first series 1100GS) and it is one awesome road bike,
riding it is kind of like imagining yourself as one of those tank
field commanders up in the turret. Awesome machine with a great
motor and incredible brakes. Makes a neat noise, too.
And yes, it would be good to see some posting from Verle, he sure
does get around.
