overdo it still on the backroads and trails. I'm wondering if i'm severly out of shape or the rest of you guys are youngsters! How old are the group members? Let's here it. Just did hit 44 and I have learned: Getting off at speed is not something I can do as often as I did 15 to 20 years ago... :)

"55" but riding like I'm coming up on 27.19! Something wrong with my KLR throttle, it just won't go slow. Thinking about buying stock in an Ibuprofen company! ;-))) Greg in Dallas

Hey John, I hope many people take notice from your post!!! DON'T QUIT RIDING, take your kids with you and teach them to love the sport too!!! I had my oldest son in his first motocross race and trials competition when he was 9 years old. He didn't do worth a damn but he sure did love it. Now he thinks wheels are only to be used for landing gear! :( I can't tell you how much fun it is to watch them get better and better until that "fateful" day when they blow your ass off the trail! ;-))) Greg in Dallas

KLR is my first bike; got it last year to see the Southwest. Hope to get a sport tourer (maybe an ST1100) in the next year. Definitely seeing a demographic forming on this thread: Male, grown- up, likes to have fun, maybe a little higher on the individual/self- reliance scale, maybe a little lower on the wanta-be-part-of-a-big- crowd scale.
