Steve,
No holding, that could earn you a 5 yard penalty!

Hmmm..... Let's see here, Trying in hold onto my income, three teenage daughters but Dad wants a new 1150 GS, Trying to hold in an ever expanding waistline, After a recent 14 hour day on the KLR, holding my sore butt And trying to hold on to some youthful exuberance! I just woke up from my nap and see we are talking about age. I'm 70+ and in pretty good shape for the condition I'm in. Not sure that riding a KLR has had anything to do with living longer but it sure makes it fun. My Alice says . .

It's actually morphing into a pretty decent (big) dirt bike....or maybe I'm
just getting used to it, and never really needed to give in to mans primal
need for mods.
Naw...I Needed that stuff...but I can stop anytime..really.

I was 41. I've been riding since I was 12, but quit in '92 when too
many close calls on the street. I was getting surly and depressive,
so my wife made me get a bike. I don't ride as much in traffic as I
used to. The Prickly Pear, Saguaro, and Cholla cactii are more
predictable than the cars. (It is easier to pull a thorn out of my
ass than a car). I am 21 now and feeling much better. I guess the
average would be 31 for me.
This looks like another opportunity for the database area. E.G. How
old are you? How old do you feel?

43 here, outside of Phoenix. KLR is my first bike; got it last year
to see the Southwest. Hope to get a sport tourer (maybe an ST1100) in
the next year.
Definitely seeing a demographic forming on this thread: Male, grown-
up, likes to have fun, maybe a little higher on the individual/self-
reliance scale, maybe a little lower on the wanta-be-part-of-a-big-
crowd scale.
