I'm 43, I have had my Tengai since 1991, before that I had a KL600 '85? It
seemed more of a dirt bike than the newer KLR's. The Tengai is definitely a
street bike, great front brake. Jake Jakeman (who has no computer) has an '88
or '89 KLR he bought new. Anyone have their same bike as long as that?

A real Banana Republic, (they grow in my backyard) remember the presidential
election? You should see the local elections here, they convict public
officials on a weekly basis. Remember the old advertising slogan, "Florida,
the rules are different here", boy are they.

Just for the record, Fred at www.arrowheadmotorsports.com also sells a Russell REAR brake line. I did both front and back, and have found there to be quite a difference in braking, (I used Valvoline DOT 3/4 synthetic brake fluid.) I did both lines at the same time, so don't know if the front alone would have produced the same results.> stand - also have already installed the S.S. front brake line and have > the Performance Springs to drop in too. Exactly the same thing with me. My previous bike was a GoldWing, and I got a few waves, but nothing like now with the KLR. I would guess a big part of it is that it's not a "wannabe" bike, like many in the Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki line. Also, Harley doesn't make an alternative to the KLR so we're not being disloyal to "Made in the USA," or something.
