Anyone have any experience with repairmanual.com? They appear to have the base and supplement manuals in stock, unlike buykawasaki.com which has been out forever... Michael Oklahoma A15

The one I got (99924-1080-55, I think; it's not here) was claimed by their website to cover 1987-2001. It's clear that the manual only covers up to 1995. Am I correct in thinking that's the only supplement available? I know it's been mentioned before, but I paid less attention before I actually *had* a KLR. :) -- Cloyce A13 in Austin, TX

The manual you ordered covers the 87-95 KLRs and there is a different supplement manual for the later KLRs. There isn't much difference between the earlier models and the later ones. Fred No, I don't have the later model supplement manuals either.

Andy, Just like you, I feel there is no future in growing up. When the wife and I decided we needed a second vehicle, I went out and came back with the KLX. "Not exactly what I had in mind, dear" were her words. Now she loves the fact that I'm not that "grown up". Sounds like a great trip. If ever you find yourself in NE OK, look us up, we would be proud to have you stop by. Marshall in Afton, Ok '95 KLXC3

Left out of here Thursday at 4:AM with the Beemer loaded. Was in Harriet and at the campgrounds for a bit after 2PM. Good weather and nice run. Have not been on some for the roads up there for the last 2 years. > All pave cept' for the last 3 miles of Gov. maintained gravel from Hwy 14 down to the Buffalo River. They chose to grade the last mile or so of it. Bad news for street bikes. Or, most of them anyway. But, didn't hear of anyone falling. > One dude came in with a mini trailer behind his K bike with an XT600 Yamy on it and all of his camping gear tied onto the trailer and yamy. > Tried not to look too hard at the gravel roads in the area as we chose to run street bikes instead of dual sports this year. Think that dude had a thing going the way he did it. But, can't see dragging a trailer like that behind me for near 500 miles. Specially when you get to the twist roads and want to have a bit of fun. > We did do a 100 mile run down Ark 27 to Russelville Friday to meet a lady coming to the rally from the Mena, Ark area on her ZRX1100 loaded with camping gear. She also has a 750 Duc monster and an XT225 Yamaha. Also, 51 years old, cranky at times, but fun to ride and camp with. > Rains started at about 4AM Sat morning. My tent started leaking at a few places thru the seams on the rain fly. Had just treated it since last campout in Nov. at Mena, Ark. Also getting lots of holes in the netting. Oh well. Getting time for a replacement guess. Mostly on and off light rains all morning. This knocked out going to the Music Festable at Mountain View, Ark. and doing some neat roads in the process. Arkansas is eat up with fine roads in both the paved and gravel type thruout most of the Ozark or Boston mountains. So, with the Ranger saying that it was suppose to get heavier this evening before it got better, I decided to make the run back to South Louisiana. Packed up at 2PM and run in light rain for about 30 miles then was out of it. But kept on the rain gear for about 50 more miles and blue skies. About El Dorado, Ark I saw a honey of a T-storm and it didn't look too long so decide to bomb thru it without putting on rain gear. Wow did I get a soaking. But it only lasted for about 5 miles of heavy rain and another 5 of light stuff. My jacket did dry out about 100 or so miles down the road. > Now , at home for 10:30PM. Thinking of the next day and drying out all the gear. Sucks. Ha ha my daughter says at 58 years old , one day I'll grow up. I say, " I may change my camping mode but no future in growing up." > > Andy Chesley > Jennings, La. > KLR & R11RA > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > Visit the KLR650 archives at > http://www.listquest.com/lq/search.html?ln=klr650 > > Post message: DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com > Subscribe: DSN_klr650-subscribe@yahoogroups.com > Unsubscribe: DSN_klr650-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com > List owner: DSN_klr650-owner@yahoogroups.com > > Support Dual Sport News by subscribing at: > http://www.dualsportnews.com > > Your use of Yahoo!
