[nwtt] cheap gear, agv helmet recommendations?
Hey gang,
I'm thinking of ordering one of these here foreen made A-G-V hellmuts. Trying them on, it
seems like my normal Arai Signet XL head fits a AGV XXL, but the AGV feels more round
then the (foreen made too) Arai style I've grown accustomed to.
Anybody have any experience with AGV? It seems like a decent helmet.
And how about this RSS outfit(the place selling the helmets)? Anybody order a helmet?
When I spoke to Rob at RSS and he was a little, how do you say "fuzzy" on his stock and
prices. I had to tell him the price of the R1 model ($59.00) from his web site.
First he told me they only had one helmet model in XXL, a Quasar for $149. I told him
that was too much and that I wanted a solid color R1, he then "remembered" that they had
a whole bunch of those in XXL, for $79.00. I told him that his web site said they were
$59.00, he said that if the web site said $59.00, he could do that, but "his price sheet
must not be updated."
Hmm, sound like a bs artist, and a not very good one at that. Anyway, I'd appreciate any
feedback.
Thanks,
Ed
ps: I usually do the perfect fit thing with the helmets and buy a good Arai, but this
time around, its a cheap sale helmet till I have the money for an Arai (kids, mortgage,
lay offs at work, blah blah, blah...).
