Unfortunately I shant make the Moab meeting of the meisters this year. I have some serious training to do and need to maximize my off- roading this year and the 4 days round trip it would take to get me there and back might be better spent in the sands of southern Jersey. I may yet make Moab for a few days later in the season when me and the missus are visiting her sister's family in Colorado. Besides all you freaks on dem dare devil machines of the pavement might make me yearn for yet another toy I can't afford... dat brooklyn bum will pay for video of the monkey-butt extravaganza.> > Fred

How about the Enfield Bullet 500 or Buell Blast? I always thought the Honda VT500 would be a good start. Nice torque, middle power, light weight. == Rev. How's this for the ultimate dual sport machine - wait until Honda
releases the dual sport version of the new XR650R. Take that bike,
add racks and a bigger fuel tank, and there is virtually nowhere that
thing won't go! It would even make sense that a kick starter should
be available as an aftersale add-on for those of you opposed to
starting by the push of a button.

Reminds me of what Arlo Guthrie always used to say in his 1 hr. long Alice's Restaurant Rant. Back then we didn't call ripping off another person's song stealin' we used to call it the folk process. heh heh. Seriously though I know a tattoo artist in VA. who back in the 70's copyrighted every single tattoo design he laid his eyes on. Couple times a year he sics his lawyer on somebody who is using "his copyright" and collects everytime. $50,000 here, $30,000 there -it adds up pretty fast. Guy lives in a mansion on the beach and has been featured in the Wall St. Journal.
