I also had a good ride, but no such luck with the HD's I met.
I waved, they didn't, then I thought to myself: "I can go where
you can't...na-na - na-na!" :-p` Thiibbbiiitt!!

Finally got my new 01' KLR on Thursday. Was pretty jittery after
not having rode for about 4 years and the last bike was a lot smaller
(but heavier). Jeez, I feel like I shrank about 2 inches in my legs.
. I remember the KLR being tall in the saddle but not quite so much.
Thursday I just took back home about 6 miles, Friday it snowed here
in NY again. Took it out Saturday after spening 2 hours shoveling
the driveway. Did only miles. Sunday was nice went for a 50 mile
spin up some of the local roads along the Hudson but the temperatures
finally got to me so I stoped at a local coffee shop, hands shaking
with the cold but a huge smile on my face all the same. Took one
of the highways back down. Just sort of sat back on the thing and
enjoyed a nice cruise around 60-65 with most cars whizzing past me
but I gotta watch that RPM for the next few weeks. Was a little windy
which I attibute to both being still being used to my old Ninja and
the particular jacket I was wearing and also just f@#$ing cold...
Can't wait til spring.
