There seem to be lots of little systems for insuring that you remember. I used a piece of velcro that I took off the lock when putting it on and then covering the ignition key with it. I also had a small round magnet that worked the same way, off the lock and over the ignition so I couldn't forget. Before employing those I made the mistake of forgetting but with no real consequences. It's a bummer to try and leave in a hurry with the lock still on. Can cost a lot of plastic on a sportbike.

-----Original Message----- From: Robert T. Heywood [mailto:rheywoo1@...] Dude, you can get these disk lock things that go on the brake disk. I plan on getting one but my only concern is that if you forget it's on the disk and try to roll the bike, would it harm the caliper? I don't know? Maybe others on the list could comment. ------------------- 100$ for the caliper mount and a bruised ego. I woulda been gone real quick and stylish though... Rick in Seattle, A13 (lesson learn'ed)

Am I missing something here. There is all this talk about putting on wheel locks. On my 2001, I can lock the handlbars full-lock left. To me it seems like it would be very difficult to ride it this way unless you were good at wheelies... Can this handlebar lock easily be defeated??? ~Dennis~ A15 Concord, NC deast@... -----Original Message----- From: ripkid@home [mailto:ripkid@...] -----Original Message----- From: Robert T. You left out some of the details. To pilot one of these you have to fit the Little Oscar profile; which means only midges need apply. I personally met one of the Little Oscars when he and his Wiener-Mobile visited the corner store in the N.W. side Chicago neighborhood where I grew up. It wasn't a fun experience for the little guy. The neighborhood kids, a nasty bunch, started shoving him around, tripping him and such. Just another fond memory from my innocent childhood. Bogdan
