looking for input

Post by Scott Bappe » Mon Dec 11, 2000 2:20 pm

I've been looking to get back into biking for awhile now and think I have finally decided on what type of bike to purchase. The KLR 650 appears to have the sort of capabilities I've searced for.I live in a rural area and enjoy traveling roads that are more suited to this type of bike.My questions are related to the durability of the 650 motor. Specifically what sort of lifespan can one reasonably expect from this bike if it is given plenty of TLC.Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

best kaw service in sf/bay area?

Post by Rev.Chuck » Mon Dec 11, 2000 4:49 pm

Good Times Kawasaki on Auburn Blvd. Sacramento. Yep, it's not the bay area, but they are simply the best I have delt with. I have been taking my business there since 1968 (no I'm not old). I just did the 6000 mile biggy along with a charging systems diagnostics. The bill came to $200. with the valve measurements before and after adjustment. The service "guys" are young ladies wearing smiles even on cold wet days. Yep, a good place to go. Anyway, It's a nice ride from the city...

Also, they are expensive--$200 for >my 600 mile checkup which included a valve adjustment. > >Jon > >> Greetings all- >> >> First-time poster, longtime listener. *Really* digging this list.
