installing a 16 tooth front sprocket

Post by s davenport » Fri Oct 06, 2000 7:52 pm

Charles: All you have to do is make sure that the washer that is just beneath the bolt is flattened out. As you will see, this washer is bent around one of the flat sides of the net, thus not allowing the nut to turn freely. After flattening the washer, remove the bolt. Be sure to bend the washer back as it was so that your nut won't spin off when blasting through the trails. Happy riding:) Scot All, Any help on how best to remove the front sprocket would be much appreciated. I tried various methods without any success. Thanks. Charles

Hi, Ref the lcking tab washer, dont use the same bend twice. If you must reuse it bend a part that has not been bent before. Easily done by putting it back in the required place. There is no master spline. Othewise it will break on you sometime. Regards, Brian A14 D17

A man of my caliber should never have let that slip through. I meant to say .40 S&W. I think a 40mm would be about the right caliber for the traffic around here, Santa Rosa CA.>>>>>>> Too f*&^in' small here! NYC, it's like a tight woods trail where the trees are moving. dat brooklyn bum _______________________________________________________ Say Bye to Slow Internet! http://www.home.com/xinbox/signup.html
