I've been thinking about trying this on the KLR sometime, I would feel more accomplished doing a SS1000 on a KLR that I did doing a Bun Burner 1500 on my Concours. Other than the good advice already given, I think I'd have to tape on some of that large bubble wrap packaging material to my stock seat or use a gel pad.
