Yo all, Is the KLR cheap-gas friendly, Ie, does it still idle properly, kick over on cue, have power, and get 50-60mpg on it? Thanks, DXK

Mine seems to run well on anything (as long as it's gas).

Yes, but when you get out into the boondocks, sometimes the only gas available is 87 or less. And at Pemex in Mexico or in the Himalayas you are lucky to get any gas. The KLR seems to run on it, according to stories I have heard. My experience has only been in the Pacific Northwest boondocks, which is a pretty nice boondocks, as boondocks go. Pierre Trudeau was also a cousin of one sort or another of Garry Trudeau, the guy who draws Doonesbury.
