Wow guy,
Trails in Arkansas. Name it and it's there. What part of the state?
Does he wanty to the the TAT across the western part? I roam Ark from
the north center across to the Mean area. Just so many things to do.
Stop at Walmart and get the Delorme Arkansas mapas it has most all of
the roads. Get into the Ozarks, pick a road and go see where it ends up
at.

I am doing exactly that....leaving work shortly headed to north west Ark. but
am riding the Connie this trip...gonna scout some roads and trails to return
on the KLR. I can cover more ground quicker and see more of the state on the
Connie. Can't wait to return on the KLR after I narrow it down alittle.
Transplanted Yankee living in Texas and havn't had the chance to explore
Arkansas.....any other info appreciated!

Hey dude
Semper Fi back at ya.
K. From Dallas. hmmmmm get to US 271 at Antlers, Tx. East 271 to Talihina,
Ok. Keep on 271 till Ok 1 , go east to Mena, Ak. Have your camera ready for this
part. Most scenic of the whole Ozarks to many whom travel these parts. At Mena,
do US 71 N. to The Pines, then east on Ark 28 to Ark 27N to Dardanelle. May want
to run up to the top of Mount Ebo there. Neat place looking over the Arkansas
river valley. Then Ark 7 N to Jasper then Ark 74 West or East. if you go east
there are so many great paved and gravel roads in the Marshal area going out to
Harriet. Ark . Follow Ark 14 east to the Gunner Pool Rec. area. so many great
gravel roads back there. Stay on 14 to Ark 263 South. Considered to be Arks Tail
of the Dragon.
Ha ha I get dizzy trying to think of all the places I've been in Ark.
Oh, by the way. On those really curvy roads, don't even think the Connie will run
and hide from your KLR.

the "pod" !
I have seen adds for the Touratech IMO 100R300 Motorcycle Computer which
look tempting yoiu might want to check out
http://www.geocities.com/~klrdsn/page93.html
for a write up of "Touratech IMO 100R300 Motorcycle Computer KLR650
Application" by Vik Banerjee.
I've also been tempted to check out possible use of the Sherpa instruments
on the 650, but my dealer is absolutely ignorant regarding the Sherpa and I
do not have the spare funds or need to make my searcj serious.

Subject: [DSN_klr650] The "Pod" !
Being in need of a replacement instrument cluster for my bike, I asked a
local "Dealer of the Green" if a complete pod was available. He said no, I
would have to buy the parts as separates ( The only things not broken were
the tach. and knob that resets the trip odom. ). Has any of the Collective
knowledge contrary to this, or, alternatives to a factory solution? Thanks
in advance.
