two for the price of one?
Judging by my mailbox today, it looks like we now have two KLR lists... Interesting.

origional dunlops
I am getting the idea that Pirelli MT-70s are preferable for my kind of tour.
If my body holds up I estimate I will probably cover about 50,000 miles just
doing north and South Americas for 2-3 years. I also figure that 50,000 miles
is about all I can hope for from the klr650 without major engine problems.
Probably about 90% of the tour will be road miles, either paved or gravel. I
want the best compromise between long lasting, decent wet traction on the
highway and a little confidence on gravel or dirt. I'd rather be safe than
sorry I chose tires for their longevity alone. I understand that, generally,
sticky tires are soft and don't last long. Hard tires last longer but don't
stick to the road as well.
Do I have it straight yet?
