off-subject funny

This is completely off subject (except I sure you've all crossed your share of cattle guards), but I got a laugh out of it... For those who have never traveled to the great West, cattle guards are horizontal steel rails or pipes placed across the road at fence openings to prevent cattle from crossing. Bovines will not step on the guards, probably because they fear getting their feet caught between the pipes. I need to make that clear in order for everyone to appreciate the following story. Early in his administration, President Clinton received a report that there were over 100,000 cattle guards in Colorado. Because Colorado ranchers had recently protested his proposed changes in grazing policies, he ordered Secretary of Interior Bruce Babbitt to fire half of the guards immediately. But before Babbitt could respond, and presumably straighten him out, Colorado's former congresswoman Pat Schroeder intervened with a request that before any were fired they be given six months of retraining.

There are plenty of stories like this to go around for the Republican side of the aisle also. The truth is, the Clinton administration has done more for preserving the integrity of our wilderness and open lands than any other administration and it will continue with the inevitable election of Al Gore this November. Yes this sucks big time... Feels like no one loves me anymore nowthatI am not getting those email fixes from everyone every 5 minutes.Ihaven't seen any news posted about the progress oftheupgrades/backups at e-Groups so should we be thinking aboutatemporary solution?I would be more than happy to donate my mail server for the task, allIwould need would be the list of all the subscribers and we couldhavea temporary solution set up pretty easily. I could even cc:e-groupson all the incoming emails so that our archives aren'tfragmented. Letme know, I would be most happy to do, I am the systemadmin anyhow andI ain't got nuttin' better to do ;)Zack1991 KLR6501986Concours
