I'm seriously considering changing to a 14t countershaft sprocket.
Most of my riding, by far, is at 20 to 30mph on dirt back roads (or
thru a grassy field) with the occasional sprint on a paved road
around 55mph and the extremely rare short run down the interstate at
about 70mph. I'm willing to tolerate the accelerated wear caused by
the smaller sprocket.
My concern is changing and finding that it is really undesirable,
uncomfortable or unreasonable running over 50mph on paved roads.
I don't want to have to change sprockets depending on where I will be
riding that day. I'm lazy.
Is the 14t sprocket a reasonable general purpose sprocket for the
riding I do?
Thanks.

Here is some interesting reading that may help explain the no email
problem. Go to egroups home page and click on Yahoo completes egroup
acquisition. Scroll down the page to egroup statis. Subscribe and
read the post about Friday. This probably is related to our problem.
