The Dec 99 issue of DSN (destined to become collectable) has a complete list on page 15. DSN is currently running a subscription special and a fine selection of back issues are still available.

RE: 1995 & older KLR's - balancer mechanism I just looked at p.15 of the Dec., 99 issue and I'm trying to contrast what it said vs. " I would not ride a KLR in heavy traffic that did not have the new parts and my drive washer installed or at least the pins and springs that drive the balancer inspected to make sure they are all there and in good condition." from one of the earlier post this evening. Quote from the issue: "The last four parts cannot be installed without machining .075" material from the idler shaft hole in the left inner case. This requires splitting the cases. Since this isn't practical for most KLR owners, it is all the more important to inspect and replace the stock balancer idler shaft, bearing, and/or sprocket when you replace the balancer and cam chains every thirty to thirty-five thousand miles." So.....do you need to install all eight parts listed before you can "ride in heavy traffic", or can you install the top four parts listed and the last four listed when you replace the chains? I'd figured he's an animal, but how does he ride a Pegaso and a Pickup at the same time? Confounded in California
