planning to make money sooner or later weren't they. It won't stop with
this either and in time will become worse. More ads or if you don't want the
ads then more $ please. Personally I don't tolerate this well. Incessant
advertising hastened my departure from AOL and it will do nothing to improve
my KLR eList experience here either.
This new internet world is quite dynamic however and .....things change.
However, at this point it may make sense to simply pay the lousy blighters
and have it off. Damn bloodsuckers. (yeah, i know I should be more
realistic)
If you guys are interested we can organize a group of self-selected
listers to keep this at bay. What I propose is that, given enough interest,
we can all share the burden of keeping ads off the list. What do you say to
having a rotating group of five contribute a buck each month? I volunteer
the first $1....anyone else? For example, with enough group interest it
wouldn't have to cost any of us more than $1 per year plus stamp....at least
not until they raise the rate. So....may I have a show of emails expressing
your self-interest?
thanks,
eric
PS....
............ by the way, if there isn't much interest in doing this right
now, I'll ask again in a week or so and see if we have a useable
consensus...

I know by then *I'll* be going nuts.
............ I'm aware that there's software that removes banner ads, do any
of you know how we might use something like that which would work on this
stuff? Sooner or later one of us might hear of something. Please do pass it
along.
............it may make more sense for one different person to send $4.95
every month....we could elevate that individual to hero status as "Savior of
the Month" .....er, I don't think I'll volunteer to be first for that
one....adulation doesn't fit me well....heh.....well, "First Advertising
Curmudgeon" of the month I could take.
