[dsn_klr650] cal posse summer roundup teaser(nklr)

Post by Russell Scott » Wed Aug 30, 2000 12:14 am

We swam in the Tule, rode amongst the cattle, circled a Sequoia who's trunk is the size of my garage, and had big steak dinners and scrumptious breakfasts at the Ponderosa restaurant. It wasn't all goat trails, camping food, and lifting KLR's around switchbacks tighter than a KLR valve cover. And besides, only five of the thirteen riders got sucked into the Summit trail's vortex. So Bill, next time the Planning Commission calls, you tell them to "plan this", I'm riding with the Cal Posse! And besides, where else can you hear my acoustic guitar's notes dancing across the fire as Jim "the Storyteller" spins a yarn about his travels in Mexico, or MarkE's trip to Glacier Bay, Alaska in a private yacht. Now that's liv'in! Do me a favor, and scope out some good routes up there. We want to do a Posse ride in the Trinity National Forest some day. But heading up to the Trinity River for some swimming and riding this weekend, with Chef James, don't want to have to eat freeze-dried soup. Sr. Cabrito and La Desnuda
