[dsn_klr650] nklr: dirt riding gloves?
I have an assortment of Moose, Thor and Axo.
They're all good and are in the middle of their product lines.
Gloves at the bottom of most lines are well made, but lack some of
the nicer features, such as Velcro wrist closures, reinforced thumb,
fingertip and palm areas, etc.

Related question...
I've seen wrist protectors used by skate boarders and roller bladers which
are supposed to protect against broken wrists in a fall (when not if).
Does anyone have experience with wrist protection which will still allow
you to twist the throttle?
Thanks,
Joe

Hi gang,
Anyone have any recommendations for motocross style riding gloves for when
I'm out on the trails? They all look pretty much the same to me, but if
anyone has any brands they recommend or any to stay away from, I'd
appreciate hearing about it. My leather street gloves are too hot and are
getting trashed out in the woods, and they don't have any real protection
from flying rocks and branches.
Thanks,
Ed

i've always been pleased with the way fox gloves hold up. i used to sell them (and wear them) when i managed a bicycle shop, and they always seemed very well made to me. mw

I have Thor and MSR. The Thor fit better but the MSR are more durable and last longer. I recommend MSR.

cal posse summer roundup teaser
Back from the Cal Posse Summer Roundup. Rode the Summit trail. I can
almost guarantee we were the first KLR's to ever conquer that single-track
nightmare. Was mis-lead by a old-timer who said it was a "moderate" trail.
Double black diamond was what it really was. The guy probably hadn't
ridden it in twenty years. 10 miles in 5 hours. Trying to lug a KLR
around at 9000 feet and breath is very difficult. I have never sweated so
much in my life riding a motorcycle. Good news is my bike never hit the
ground. Some of the others were not so lucky (but no serious damage to
anyone's body or bike). Thank goodness there were five of us. None of us
could have made it by ourselves. I will post a full ride report with
pictures on CalPosse.com in the near future. Overall the Roundup was a
blast.
