It reminds me too much of those dumb-assed Outer Banks, NC stickers on all those SUVs. Being from the DC area, I'm sure you know what I mean. Mark B2 A2

Yeah, I know, but I am tired out of mind today and that was the most creative thing that I could come up with... Yes, it is cliched... In fact I kinda intended that so people would start throwing out ideas for a design cause this one sucks... What we need is a mascot animal or something of the sort and I know that someone is going to suggest Taz, but I don't want to have to bedeck my bike with stickers of Calvin pissing on a BMW logo... How about one in chinese characters so that I can fit in with all the rice-boys in my neighborhood?   Anyone, anyone? Bueller, Bueller? Zack

HI ernie   your questions.... 1. best day/worst day? Ummmm... difficult one. Worst was probably when I was struggling with a blocked main jet on top of Tomichi Pass in Colorado - especially when I stripped the screw trying to remove the float bowl. Second day in Oklahoma was bad too -- rain turned the sandy loam to a slick nightmare. And, er, the scenery didn't help much either. Best day? Hell, lots of them -- Nevada was fun, Utah was fun. Can't pick a day. 2. Best part of trip? Some long, satisfyingly lonesome days waaaaay out in the back of beyond Nevada-style. Don't ask me why.... 3. I camped roughly 50% of the time, depending on the cost of motels and availability of good camping grounds -- established or wild. Some of the 'wild' nights were a little unnerving, though. And it dropped below freezing in Oregon, which WASN'T a bundle of fun. Cold, cold feet... 4. Gadgets? Didn't really have many -- probably the lil' cycle computer: tremendous value for $20 and it never failed. Oh, and a cheap Leatherman copy. 5. 6,000 miles since Jacksonville, including the run from Oregon down to San Fransisco, then from SF on highway across CA (via Yosemite), NV (via the 'ExtraTerrestial Highway'!) and UT (via Bryce). 6. No. ;+( 7. Wish I could, Ernie -- but my girlfriend is rather keen to see me back in the UK... er, NOW. NOT NEXT WEEK OR THE WEEK AFTER, BUT NOW!!! (capital letters hers...). But I'll be back. ;-)   Regards to Christopher! (bravest 9-year-old I've ever met)   PS> It's rubbish not trash, chips not fries, petrol not gas, tarmac not pavement (etc, etc, etc, etc...)

Russell  hammers those keys without mercy with his two speedy digits. pss:  have a safe trip home ;-) Honda XR650L Users Group web site: http://www.angelfire.com/ut/xrlug/ egroups XRLUG main page: http://www.egroups.com/group/xrlug XRLUG archives are at: http://www.onelist.com/archive/xrlug Vote on the current Poll at: http://www.egroups.com/polls/xrlug
