joe rocket jackets
j. .. I can't compare but I have a HJC Cirotec jacket and pants I
purchased at the Int'l bike show in Seattle last Dec. Gloat..I did
get
them at 50% off.. and since seen the same in stores so don't see any
change from mine. It is a very good all weather jacket.. light (250?)
cordura exterior with exterior fabric impact patches at the shoulders
and elbows.. foam in the same places too plus a foam back protector.
Velcro at the sleeves and collar, so you can get air in or keep it
and
water out. Waist belt. Pit zips and a zipper across the back with a
button down flap. Gore tex liner. Great pockets and enuf of them with
the hand pockets with zippers and velcro. Chest pockets with zippers
and button down flaps.
I used it to do the Copper Canyon in late March and it passed the
tests easily although it was fairly dry and temp was 50-90 deg F. I
have not been in heavy rain for any extended time but after an hour
it is waterproof.
Has reflective 3M strips on it.
The pants work well with the exceptions of the leg zipper does not
go
alll the way to the hip so you have to remove boots to put on/take
off
and do not have a removable liner ( I would call them a 3 season
pant,
fall/winter/spring) so get warm and so I don't use them in the summer.
The jacket exceeded my expectations. The pants i would forgo to get
ones with zippers that go up to the hip and have a removable liner.
And impact foam at the hips/knees too?
