Not to worry... the Darien does get better, however it never really becomes "soft"... I like that, with the body armor it gives a feeling of security... also don't worry about heat... open all vents (arm pit, across the back, and leave the waist and wrists loose) it will be air-conditioned! I'm always worried about a bee entering my suit, but that's another story. Also, get the electric liner jacket... for the winter... it's toasty. Ingo Lahnemann
