[dsn_klr650] oil consumption

Post by Jim & Shannon Morehead » Mon Aug 14, 2000 2:21 pm

Hi Pat, My A13 uses almost no oil at all. I am using Kawasaki 10W-40 and find it does a good job for me. The clutch and tranny on my bike seem to work better using the 10W-40 Kawasaki oil that it did using Honda 20W-50. I have about 3600 miles on my bike. Jim

I use the Kawi-chem too and have no problems. I guess the extra 5 bucks I spent last year have paid off. I use 15w 50 Mobil 1 change every 2000 miles or sooner, I have to add a little oil last time to keep it just above the full line mark, I run WFO every time i get on my Y2K, I also pull wheelies at every light and stop sign, And i do a lot of clutchless shifting, also speed shifting when i am racing around town, I jump curbs and go blasting down allys...................................................... I ordered a helmet from MAW, but it was on the clearance section. I dont know if DK will match that. I got a Nolan N100 for $150. It was a XXL for my big head. The helmet is nice, and was delivered on time. I just got lucky and found the one I wanted in the clearance section. MotorMark
