Hi all,
I have just joined this egroup? Not even sure how an egroup works but
I do have one purpose in joining ... I want to know how to get hold of
a KLR!
I have a very well-loved and very well kept 1982 KL250. For the 18
years that I had it, it simply made me an absolute devotee to the KL
series of motorcycles. I am a mechanic by profession and a great lover
of good machinery, which, perhaps, is the reason why I was able to use
and extend the life of my KL for 18 years. You may not be surprised
but my KL engine is still original (no overhaul yet) after giving me
over 120,000 kms of trouble-free ride. But now, I want to upgrade, I
am VERY interested in the newer models of this magnificent motorcycle,
the KLR250 or the KLR650, but unfortunately, the Kawasaki distributors
here in Manila do not import the KL series anymore.
Can anybody help in guiding me on how to buy a KL from my location?
Thanks
we're all a little different (nklr)

A new SV650 is even harder to find at the dealer then a KLR650. I waited 5
months for my KLR650. I have to wait until October or November for the
SV650. I'm having fantasies of turning a SV650 into a dual sport. I'll call
it the Africa Twin Killer.

It doesn't bother me either as does not being able to go 200 mph. The KLR650
is what it is. Its not a bike to impress the women on a Saturday night
downtown. I'm getting a Suzuki SV650 for that along with black leather pants
and jacket.
