air box

Hi.. After taking my bike apart more times than I actually ride it, I came to the conclusion that the stock air box is not a engeneering marvel. It's bulki and probably very restrictive. I am now in the process of loosing the airbox. My dealer has a KnN style filter for the KLR it's around 20$ canadian and fits right on the carb. I'm also working on a battery holder. The battery will be in the same position. If anywone has already done something like this, please let me know. I have a 94 KLR 650. Yup the ugliest!!!!But it has it's advantages.. I have a matching patio set. chairs, table, glasses and so on... Thanks. Raz
