[dsn_klr650] nklr offroading in lake tahoe area
stop in at any bike shop and pick up a copy of the outdoor recreation maps.
there's one for north lake and one for south lake. they come complete with
contour lines and they have trails for jeeps, bicycles and hiking listed. i
think the rubicon trail from homewood to the summit would be nice, but don't
go much past the summit. it starts to get pretty crazy before long, though
it's wide enough there's always room to turn around. there are a couple
other trails that go off to the right. at least one of them is completely
nuts in terms of rocks, but the one just about at the summit is scenic and
not incredibly difficult.
