Tragedy in North Carolina Motorcyclist magazine Associate Editor Greg McQuide, 30, was killed Friday, June 23, in a traffic accident while attending the Honda Hoot in North Carolina. Witnesses say that McQuide was riding alone eastbound on Interstate 40, in the left lane, when a truck he was approaching moved suddenly into his path. Trying to avoid the truck, McQuide crashed into the median strip and struck a guardrail. He was dead on the scene. McQuide his survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve McQuide of Delmar, New York, and a brother. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, June 30, at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar, NY 12054. Condolences may be sent to that address. A memorial is also being scheduled in Southern California for Friday, July 14. The location has yet to be announced. The family has requested that memorials be sent to the National Motorcycle Safety Fund, 2 Jenner St., Irvine, CA 92618. cn
