I'm with you Stu... Since being married I've learned so much about myself. 1)I'm selfish 2)I spend too much money 3)I don't take responsibility 4)I can't be trusted with a credit card 5)I can't be trusted with the kids (Ok so I wasn't hungry one day and I forgot to make lunch) 6)I don't appreciate the efforts of others 7)I don't appreciate my wife 8)I'm anal 9)I don't listen 10)I don't talk 11)I only do what I want to do 12)I wish I married someone more like my mother 13)I never pick up after myself 14)I am always too busy 15)When I'm not busy I find another project and on and on..... How are all you bachelors gonna learn stuff like this if you don't get married. GEESCH! These are all from isolated incidents (mostly), my wife is generally happy with me. In fact she paid me a great compliment just yesterday. Here's the story.. This past weekend I was installing a new storm door on the front of the house. We have an old house and we had 7' doors, well you can't buy an off the shelf 7' storm door. So I go to build a false header. I start tearing into the old casing and discover that the 50 year old threshold is giving up the ghost. So I start tearing out the threshold to replace it. Well one pull with the pry bar and the whole casing starts falling apart.... OOPS.. head down to Home Depot to get a new front door. Now not only did I spent twice as much on the project than I should have, One nice storm door vs. one nice storm door AND a new front door, but I used the credit card (see 2 & 3 of the list) Then 14 and 15 applies yet 15 doesn't quite fit since I was already swamped with my M/C which got neglected for a day and half. My wife is out of town on vacation so I've been working on my bike full time when I get home from work, and so 11 applies, since I haven't started painting the trim I figured I wouldn't worry about picking up all the debris thus 13. Since my house is 50 years old the rough framing is not quite plum anymore. It took my two tries to get the new doors hung and swinging just right, hence 8. HOWEVER, Mrs. Dash said, well we did need a new storm door, I'm glad you replaced the old door too, she didn't want me using the credit card but that's OK..... HHMMM what's wrong with Mrs. Dash? Then she floors me.( I just about spewed beer from my nose, and that hurts)... "I'm so lucky that you can do things around the house (like installing doors and windows, but not loading the dishwasher), then she told me a story of when I went on travel, and she called a friend of mine to light the pilot light on the water heater, and she ended up figuring it out herself, since he wasn't inclined. Hell, I ain't never got a compliment like that. :) LaterZ Dash whos takes pride in the little things.

It works out the same as getting married, just less stressful and much cheaper.

Maybe one day , Nick, you'll find out that sometimes a woman is capable of things that your bike and blow-up doll could never conceive of...And if you're lucky, you won't have to just take my word for it. dat brooklyn bum (whose wife encourages me in everything I do) _______________________________________________________ Get 100% FREE Internet Access powered by Excite Visit http://freelane.excite.com/freeisp

Yea, but your stuck with the same woman, year after year after year. For a few bills, I can go downtown and get 2 for 1, and new women every time. I'm surprised you didnt know that, being from Brooklyn... Not to mention the other obvious reasons for staying single. I prefer to keep my house. My hats off to all of you that have truly found your life long partner, but I havent yet, and I'm in no hurry.. Why buy the whole pie, when you can just sample a slice? Mark Wilson I've had my share of slices and my opinion is pie is just pie. But a woman who knows how you like your pie, now that's an investment worth having. And "stuck" is a frame of mind. You ain't never stuck nowhere unless you don't recognize that you always have options. Oh, and if you saw the hoes in Brooklyn, you'd think twice about sampling slices. I'm not saying run out and marry someone you don't truly love, but don't let your friends who have bad marriages discourage you from finding out what a great marriage can be like. Nuff soapboxin' for me... dat brooklyn bum _______________________________________________________ Get 100% FREE Internet Access powered by Excite Visit http://freelane.excite.com/freeisp

Get a couple of 8mm nylon locking nuts and use them as the locking nuts up against the main adjuster nut. So you have a nut that will lock the position and a nut that won't come loose and bail. Pain in the butt if you have to run it up and down the threaded adjuster but worth it when you have that piece of mind knowing that there is one less part to lose to the vibrations. You can buy bolts with nylon locking patches as well. Better than loc-tite for vibration applications. They'd be a special order in flanged hex head metric bolts, especially in black. LaterZ Dash
