My Mac-d luggage rack makes a good lift handle. It's still a little hard to
pull up, but it's alot easier than without it.

If you don't ride two up (I don't) you can turn the passenger side foot peg
upside down. It works great as a handle, it's just the right height to
lift. I don't remember who originally suggested this but I tried it and it
works quite well.

Prob is that it will hold idle for about 1min then just dies. Seems like
it's getting gas etc.. i havn't a clue what's going on. I had been having a
prob when on the interstate the engine would flood out so i would have to
drain the float bowl. I just found this out like 2 days ago and now this
idle problem has popped up. Any ideas? thanks
