what i always do in these situation (or any other parking impoliteness) is leave a note on the car that says "sorry about the scratch (or dent), but you're not parked legally" , or something to that effect. of course i never actually damage the person's car, but i hope it makes him worry enough about it to look frantically at every corner of the car and worrry alot. as an alternative, you could pester the building management to enforce the parking rules. mw

Several: 1) Talk to him about it 2) Call him at home just to remind him that he has a nice SUV and it would be a shame if anything should happen to it 3) Ruin his credit, shut off his utilities, make calls to 900 numbers when he's away from his desk, hide kiddie porn in his desk and then expose him 4) Have it towed 5) Pour brake fluid on his hood 6) Remove the wheels and sell them on ebay 7) If none of this works, break his hands, feet, and knees to make it so he'll be needing a ride to work Mark B2 A2

Sure, call Triple AAA and tell them that your Pathfinder died in the parking lot and it needs to be towed to some dealer (at least 50 miles away!)... or... Steal some highway cones and use them to block off the motorcycle parking. or... Get the bum who is alway harassing you to sit in the motorcycle parking all morning. I did that once, paid the bum $20 and told him if he doesn't deter them from parking, to offer to wash their windshield (with a very oily rag that I gave him). They didn't come back. or... organize a biker's day at work where you all come early and park your bikes elsewhere. Then wait (out of sight) until the BDC pulls in and parks. When they get out of their 4Runner, you and all your buds can then emerge and politely strike up a conversation with the BDC. or... Steal a handicap sign from somewhere else in the parking lot. When they park their and don't see the sign (cause they obviously can't read signs in the first place) you can call in the tow trucks! I don't think that junvenile deliquent days are quite over yet.... Zack

Ask the facilities personnel to install wheel curbs at the opening of the cycle parking area, with openings wide enough for the bikes to cross safely, but discouraging cagers. In addition to all the creative ideas already mentioned, I always liked the mysterious phat tar syndrome. Remove the valve cap, insert small pebble, screw on valve cap until you hear a faint hissssss........ Repeat daily as necessary. Hep 'im are up 'is tar tha' furst time -- after that just point to the MC only sign. Knot ps: if pebble not available, take valve core tool, insert and turn 1/2 turn counter-clockwise or until you hear hissss .............adjust for desired results, phat in 1 hour or phat in 12 hours

Remove the post and "motorcycle parking only" sign and toss it thru his/her windshield. How Rude! Actually the note with the "sorry about the dent" is great idea. Except you might find a pile of bikes on the ground the next day with a note. "sorry about your bikes, I was blinded by my own arrogance that I didn't notice them there. Here's a bill for the dent, and for the scratch in my bumper from your bike". Take some white shoe polish and put "motorcycle parking" across the windshield. Stuffing a few tangerines in the tail pipe will likely keep it there overnight and if your lot has a "No Overnight Parking" policy then make sure you call to have it towed. Many more... Some destructive some PC. You could find out where that person works and make an intercom announcement that such and such vehicle with so and so tag # left the headlights on. That'll get old after a few days of running down to the lot to check. The last time you do that, make sure to leave a note... "Don't Park Here" .... Oh wait.. Hey ARNE, do you have a parking ticket that you could send to Gino? You could also request that posts and chains be placed around the cycle parking area with staggered openings only large enough for bikes to enter. Better yet get a few of the concrete parking stops, two people can lift and move these, and place them at the perimeter of the cycle parking area. Or take small chunks of wood and hammer a couple of nails in them and place under the perps tires as wheel chocks. See parking lot policy plan. Leave a note under the wiper when you do this.
