[dsn_klr650] black oil

Thanks for the response Mark. I did change the filter last night along with the oil. I agree that there may be some wear going on or possibly contamination from the factory. I found some aluminum shavings after I removed the filter. The original owner thought he had the 500 mile service done, but I am beginning to think his dealer just "pencil whipped" the check and actually performed no work, but I have no way to verify that. I notice that the oil pressure seems to build too slowly with the 20W-50 Honda oil. I can hear my engine rattle for a few seconds on start-up. It didn't do that before the oil change last night and I sure don't like it. Jim
