Oh-yeah, I completely forgot to mention the virtues of the buddy system. This is one of those things I tend to take for granted. One really great thing about the buddy system is that you can lighten each others load by not packing the same survival stuff and tools, or you can have redundancy for really mission critical stuff. I tend to take this for granted and head out on my own a lot because of my personal confidence in my training, experience, and myself, but then again, don't try this at home folks, I am an expert. Put it on the centerstand, start the engine, and click it up to 5th gear. Fifth gear at idle is plenty fast. Then just shinny up to it....
