Listers, Thank you, thank you, thank you!!... to everyone that gave me feedback about the Suzuki Bandit and other options! Almost everyone who responded recommended the SV650. Now I see why! After doing some research, I've been drooling over this bike for over 48 hours now. I'm gonna do some more research but it is apparently an awesome machine and I think I am going to try to get one of these soon. I definitely would want to get the version with the fairing, so I may have to do some juggling to import one from Canada. Now the bad news...If I want to get an SV650, I'm going to have to sell my KLR. I know, I know, I'm a bad, bad person. Let me explain though; When I move to Maryland, I will have to sell my 1998 Isuzu Rodeo just to afford housing. If I'm going to sell this Rodeo (which I love), I want to at least get something out of the deal. I've really wanted a streetbike for a long time and I'd really like something like the SV650S, so I would feel better about giving up my Isuzu if I can trade my KLR for one of these. Don't get me wrong, I love my KLR. I would recommend one to anyone looking for a dualsport, but I want to get a streetbike. I want something a little more "modern," with a little more power on the pavement. I won't have time to ride off-road once I start in school, plus I'm not too good at it anyway with my KLR. When I finish school I may want to get another KLR (or it's replacement at that time), but for now I'm going to be street-oriented for a while. This decision isn't final yet, I think I'm gonna wait to see if Suzuki brings the sport version to the U.S. in 2001. Would $4,100 be too much for me to ask for my A14 with virtually no mods? So whattaya think? (Just consider what my mom always told me; "If you don't have anything nice to say, just don't say anything at all.") I may continue to lurk on this list even if I do sell my bike, I think giving up both would be just too traumatic! ;^) Still young and capricious, Raamses Roanoke, VA A14 "Lusus" (700 miles) http://www2.50megs.com/raamses/klrpage.htm
