stock dunlops

Post by InWoods13@aol.com » Sat May 06, 2000 12:50 pm

Listers, Would anyone recommend buying stock Dunlops for the KLR, considering Dualstars prices for them? (60.00 front/70.00 rear) Mine had 3000 miles on them when I bought this bike, so's kind of hard to gauge how good they were. If they're a decent 80/20 tire, that would work fine for me right now. Considering the Dualstar deal, so any input's appreciated. Scott A14 Sorrento

[dsn_klr650] airbox modification...nice

MotorMark,

I agree, very nice documentation.  These pictures are outstanding; nice use of light.  If only some of our hardware/software vendors were as detailed with their instruction.

Is it unlikely that any large debris (leaves/needles) will make it to the airbox with this configuration?  It seems that the screen might be a good precaution.  I guess that garbage would still have to make its way past the side covers or seat.  Hmmm…

Very nice. Was considering doing the same thing my self. I believe the screen is there for back fire protection and since mine doesn't back fire I don't believe I need it. One of my co workers who has raced four strokes always removed the screen and opened up the air box for higher flow. Nice pictures. Very well done. Will take some of the guess work out of the jetting if I ever do the mod.              Alan Henderson A13 Iowa
