[dsn_klr650] stock dunlops

Post by Weaver, Mark » Mon May 08, 2000 11:11 am

i've been mostly riding street, maybe 5-10% dirt or so (a little more if you count the road i live on, i guess), have 5100 miles on my stockers. the rear is down to not much tread, but only in the middle. i've been mostly keeping them at 26-28 psi (doing some 2-up riding initially, too lazy to change after that). i'm figuring it wore faster in the center due to high pressure and lotsa street use. there's enough tread on the sides to lower the pressure to 18-20 psi for dirt use and still get some traction, but i better get a new tire soon. -mw

I, too, liked the handling well enough but I can't imagine what I could have done differently to get it to last 2000 miles, much less 5,000 or 6,000 as some have reported.
