To be specific...you can open the e-mail if you think someone wants to tell you they love you (ewww!), but do NOT download the attached file! To get a virus, you must download an executable file.

Happy trails Tim >> You may already know how this virus works, if so don't take offense. We got hit by the Ilove virus today at work. Took most of the afternoon to get everyone straightened out. We lost likely 1000 or so "jpg" files to the virus. You know an infected jpg file on your machine as its got a ".vbs" extension tacked on to the .jpg extension. One of our engineers received a lotus note from one of our customers with the Ilove heading. He opened it, seeing that it was from a customer he knew, opened the attachment, it locked his machine up, he rebooted, rebooting initialized the virus and spread it across our network. The virus also took a look at this engineers personal mailing list and sent itself to all those on it, under the engineers name. So all the folks that were on his personal mailing list got an email, looking like it was from their good friend. Didn't intend to get so wordy, just wanted to point out that it's a good possibility that the guy didn't even know it was sent to you. Anyhows..Mcaffee has the fixes that you'll need if infected, at their site. To the best of my knowledge, the jpg's that were infected cannot be recovered. We're going to have to do a massive restore from our tape backup to get our jpg's back, at work. All best Scott A14 Sorrento
