[dsn_klr650] big dog, gino bimo, and walter, et el... (nklr)

Where's > the response to this crap. Please don't insult me... I'm putting out fires and catching up as fast as I can. There is no elitist core who are "allowed" to get away with more than others. Sure... if a new-comer posts something borderline right off the bat, as they have no list history, they will be judged (rightly or wrongly) on the merits of that singular action. If a person with a history of 1000 posts were to post the same thing, their post would be weighed in light of their previous contributions. Whether right or wrong, this is simple human nature. As I've been at work for the past 4 days, and only able to touch base with the list "after the facts", I was not able to monitor things as they were happening. I do fear that had Kurt Simpson not made the post about BD revealing himself by noon (which I didn't read until 14 hours later), things may have degenerated further than they did. Fortunately they didn't. > This list used to make ownership of one fine motorcycle, that much more > enjoyable. > The parts (Fred), tech and camaraderie was fun. > When some immature individuals has the balls to send an e-mail like the one > these ass-holes sent, I see it's time to move on. Pete, you are 100% correct about it being inappropriate. While the initial BD posts 'were' humerous, when people started getting seriously upset, it crossed a certain line of respect. I do not see the fun in intentionally invoking anger and stress in others - especially when you know you are doing it. But I do think that things have mended themselves. As for "W.L.'s" later post (the multiple click thing), he has been informed that the list is not the place for this. And I am giving him the benefit of the doubt that his intention was to send this directly to BD and not the whole list. > After this, I'm all done. > Bye. > NY Pete, on to more informative and grown-up things, > along with my money and contributions. Pete, we still want your money (and you) on this list. Please reconsider. Cheers, Arne DSN_ klr650 Listmeister

Is this what we've come to? The ideal my old man spend time in the Gulag for? The reason my family spent time in Nazi/Soviet prisons? The grand goal... the Princess and the Pea?? If this sounds like one of Jasniewicz's rants I'm proud. F&*(k Y&**(u as they say on the Chinese political lists. I'm not my kin's equal; all I've undergone is a few ass kickings in Chicago and elsewhere. Can't forget the major corn-cobings when I discovered mainstream America. Grow up, actual as well as virtual reality had a lesson in store, O.K. I'm PUI, En vino veritas (I'd like to think). Humphry Bogdan, here's lookin' at you kid... If you were responding to "Pete" above... he didn't write that - I did. If you were responding to "me", and if you feel I am trying to invoke another "rule"... I'm not. The above was just my 'personal' opinion. No more, no less. Considering that you were "Posting Under the Influence", I am impressed that you got Eric's last name spelled correctly. =^) regards, Arne

Hoddam Bogwan..... I go to lunch for a few minutes, and come back and your 'plastered' all over the air waves. According to that recent MCN article forward/sharing.....I had you figured as just a good ol' nocturnal e-joculator..... Now I'm beginning to wonder if I should refer to you as Baddam Swigger, Bogdown Swagger, or just flat out B.S.!?!? Slide Bogdan Swider wrote:

colorado trails guidebook

Post by Thomas L. Ingram » Tue May 02, 2000 9:52 am

I live in western Colorado, and recently purchased an excellent guidebook. The title is Guide to Colorado Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive trails, by Charles A. Wells.  It is published by Funtreks, Inc., and their phone number is listed in the book as (877) 222-7623.  Price from the publisher is $18.95 + $4.00 shipping for 1st book.

Amazon.com lists it at $15.16.

Verle Nelson also lives in this area, is on the DSN_klr650 list, and he is very knowledgeable about the area, particularly southwestern Utah.  He recently completed a circumnavigation of the Canyonlands area, and is writing it up for the Dual Sport News.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
