While on this thread, I'll comment on target fixation. Proven fact that
motorists run into police cruisers MORE often with the emergency lights
turned on than OFF. Some states even require the police to turn the lights
off when a motorist pulls over,or reduce the lights to a less obtrusive
fixation level. Rubberneck syndrome lol Target fixation fits in the same
groove as optical illusions,it's there and is real. One good plug for wink
blinks, you may be able to clear
traffic if motorists think you are a police motorcycle. A BMW rider friend
has one installed, he turns it on when encountering a slow left lane road
hog. Of course you have to ride a RT that looks like a real police bike.
KLR's are used as police bikes south of the border I hear.
