How many miles? As the motor breaks in it should run cooler. Also good 15-50 WT sync. oil helps (after it is broken in). Talking to Carlos at CalPosse gathering, he drilled holes in air filter box and rejetted the bike (it is jetted on the lean side = better mileage, runs hotter). Afterward he noticed the bike runs much cooler. Don't be too concerned about the heat. On more than one occasion after damaging my radiator and breaking my fan, I had ridden it for miles with the needle in the red zone and the water boiling in the radiator, with no damage or loss of power.
