The poker runs (dual sport, iron man, family run) held on Sat had many entries. Past numbers have been 1500 participants. Much fun was had by all. My 49 yr young legs are still so sore I can hardly walk but still laughing and smiling. Yahhooo! I was going to ride the KLR in the D/S event. After warming up on the KLX Fri afternoon I noticed many rocks, rocks everywhere, huge qty of rocks. ROCKS. And we all were riding the same course Sat. So that ruled out the KLR for me. Sure I coulda done it but it would have not been fun. With the KLX..man was it fun! O course I was expecting some from NWTT to be there to ride with me. Hmmn with all the attendees you could have been there.? I seem to have got the suspension working real well IF i ride aggressively. If I ride slow it seems stiff and unyielding to the ROCKS. I rode aggressively and well. Hee hee. Did I mention ROCKS. You know the volcanic ones with the square eges? I have to admit I was so wore out from the Sat ride that it was a no go for the race Sunday for me. I still had a great time. Lots of great people ESPECIALLY the ones from the club Stumpjumpers who put the event on. Thank you! And thanks to the land owner who let it happen. I love you man!
