Yes, I went through this just two weeks ago. There was just enough wear and
play in the wheel bearings that the spacer on the left (disc side) of the hub
would rub once a revolution causing a squeal. After replacing the wheel
bearings the noise was gone. BTW, I took the Kawi bearings to my local
bearing house where they read the numbers stamped in the side of the old
bearings and matched them to US made bearings for a total of $12.50 for both.
Also I got sealed bearings that should be more resistant to water and which
won't need repacking. Hope this helps.
