doohickey install

Post by jch1289 » Wed May 30, 2007 11:15 pm

Another report on installing a replacement doohickey. My replacement was an Eagle Mike unit from Fred. The KLR had around 17000 miles at time of replacement. When I opened it up, the OEM doohickey looked just fine - the lever was about in the middle of travel, plenty of tension on the spring. I guess it's still worth it for peace of mind. I followed the procedure listed on Marknet - worked like a charm, no problems at all. So now there are a set of tools available in the San Antonio area if anyone needs them... John
