fmf q
A couple of people asked for the jetting I am running with my FMF Q. Here is
what I have; a FMF Q S/A Modular Muffle with a Big Gun Header pipe (I do not
think it made any improvements, but looks cool). I have cut out the air box
and run a UNI foam air filter and for jetting, I used a Dynojet kit using
stage 1 with DJ140 main jet. This has greatly improved my KLR performance
and ride ability and I went from an average of 40/44 mpg to 52 mpg.
Now take in account that this is done with a Seat of the pants dyno, I
think that is all that matters.

Bryan,
Am also considering a FMF but am put off by having to rejet and lose
the stock reliability and fuel economy. Seems you got to have your
cake and eat it too. Please elaborate on your rejetting setup; did you
use a dynojet kit, what did you actually change in the carb, etc?
Thanks in advance, and regards,
Maurice
