Do you REALLY want a suddenly upside down trailer behind you in the bush -
with a passenger?
I don't think so! Smells like a crash to me.
Probably better brakes than a KLR ever dreamed of... and of course you won't
be going straight at the time...
and yes I did think of it once upon a time. But decided against it.
Confirmed when I met a couple in Tunisia who had just come through Algeria
with a trailer behind a Tenere - not happy campers, having crashed several
times off-piste when the trailer flipped.
A swivel does NOT help when the trailer is upside down and dragging. Good
idea on road.

A swivel coupling minimizes the risk.
