I unfortunately have to keep my KLR outside (apartment complex) and need to
purchase a cover. Which size seems to work the best? Should I go with the cover that
is fitted for Honda Goldwings, or would the Sport Bike size be ok?

proper cover fit
This just in from "The Great White North",
Didn't Sir Devon of Wal-Mart suggest a plastic "bed wetting" mattress cover
sheet at one time.
Queen size I believe......

proper cover fit
I'd go for the bigger one if you are tarping and untarping often. I bought
the sport bike cover (at Wal-Mart) because the dimensions seemed right but I
forgot to account for the KLR mirrors which jut out a lot. The cover fits
but only barely. A real pain to put on though it is nice and snug once it's
there. I'd rather have a bigger cover even if it meant strapping it down on
the really windy days.

newbie - looking at klr650 as my first bike
I'm 6'3" and 350 pounds just out of the shower. Works for me. I think it is a good first bike for one of our size.
