Mike, I guess my Motorcycle shop here in Asheville are pretty good
with the prices. They arent a dealership they just repair and sell
Bike stuff. I felt compelled to write down my Carb solution because I
went thru the archives and couldnt find a really simple and cheap
carb fix. No airbox mods, no pipe, just one size up on the main
jet, washer under needle, and three turns out. The difference was so
remarkable I cant help but wonder how it compares to a stage one Dyno
set up.

foolproof carb improvement
The std size jet was a 148 and I went to a 150. Also I screwed in the
pilot air screw all the way in (carefully) and then backed it out
till I got the highest RPM's which came to three turns. Starts with
little or no choke. When it gets a little warmer I'll check the gas
milage.

What effect, if any, has this had on mpg? This sounds really interesting. Ralph -------------------------------------------------------------------- Ralph E. 1-2 inches in the shadows around Santiago Peak. The temperature was 20 in the shade up there, 60 at my house. Jim Corona, CA> I thought there was a little snow up there (viewing from North-end > of Mission Viejo with naked eye) but I couldn't tell. How much > accumulation was there?
