Many of you will know that the US DOD recently switched off the S/A [or deliberate errors] in the GPS satellite transmissions, and so accuracy of GPS for civilian users is now improved to around 10 metres, often better. This means that if you happen to have a hand-held GPS receiver [or, as in my case, have a boat-owning son with one] you can check your T-Type speedometer very easily. We used a Garmin hand-held receiver set to indicate MPH, and determined that TC-8233's speedo is correct within 1 MPH at 30 MPH and reads 3 MPH fast at 50 and 60. micael, grrrrrreat idea to test a pre historic instrument of a car as Tc with a gps future system ! and what happened if the wrong data will be the gps and the correct one the historic instrument ? .....joking of course. ocTagonally nicola
